Smart Carb is designed to meet the needs of a variety of horses.  The fiber sources are highly digestible and palatable.  Less than one third of the energy in this feed comes from starch sources.  This is a drastic change from traditional feeds that derive 40-60% of their available energy level from starch.  The balance of the energy in Smart Carb is provided in the form of fat and fiber.  This energy partitioning makes Smart Carb an excellent choice for older horses needing a greater provision of fiber in their feed, as well as competition horses needing a quiet source of energy.
